About

Welcome to Europe’s pocket TV for young people, Europocket TV.

Informative, brief and bold, Europocket TV provides a unique platform of audio-visual contents on the European Union and it’s institutions as well as culture, solidarity, environment, travel and entertainment.

Created by young people for young people, Europocket TV promotes multi-lingualism and currently produces contents in English, Spanish and French.

Since our first broadcast in August 2006, we have created daily pod casts and reported from almost every EU member state. In doing so, we have become a reference point for young people in Europe. That’s not our opinion, but rather that of Sky News European correspondent, Greg Milam‘the success of the channel suggests a level of interest in Europe among youth that might give the EU greater hope for the future’. And no, we have not been hired by the EU to boost it’s image…

Europocket TV might have kicked off with a small fund from the European Parliament, but today we fend for ourselves and collaborate with youth organisations and universities all over the world.

You are currently on our brand new website. It is divided into three sections; EPK news, a studio-recorded weekly round up of EU affairs, Europocketers, sporadic shows that follow our reporters on the streets of Europe and the Brussels Buzz, reports on EU law and politics personalised by our own young presenters.

Today our dynamic team makes up of Méabh from Ireland, Claire from France, Olivier from Belgique, Liselotte from Holland,  Monika from Poland, and ClaraVicenç and Helena from Spain. We are all graduates or almost graduates in journalism, PR or European politics and have the assistance of Enric and Manolo from Valencia, who actually conceived Europocket TV.

So, come on board……..comment on our videos, criticise our opinions, propose a theme….. Call us on Skype, email us on Gmail or make us a video. If virtual participation is not enough, join us in Valencia or as a correspondent from your city. We wont make you rich, but we might make you famous. Together we will carve out the Europe that we want to live in.
